On February 20, 2020 in the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University will be held DEMO DAY INNOVATION. It will be the first event jointly organized by five Krakow universities, presenting innovative technologies created by scientists from the University of Agriculture Hugo Kołłątaj in Krakow, the AGH University of Science and Technology, the Cracow University of Technology, the University of Economics and the Jagiellonian University.
During the event, 38 research teams will present their inventions, which have carried out pre-implementation work over the past year, financed by the Incubator of Innovation 2.0 program. The topics of the presented technologies are very diverse: from the use of digital tools in museum activities, through new materials, food and agriculture, as well as environmental protection, to new therapies and medicines. What connects them is that they all have the chance to become products or services available on the market, that meet important needs and challenges. The meeting will also be an opportunity for direct contact between science and business, due to the planned networking of research teams and technology transfer brokers with invited investors.
The special guest will be Prof. dr hab. Jerzy Hausner – politician and economist, professor of economic sciences. In the years 2001–2005, MP in the Seym of the Republic of Poland of the 4th term and minister in the governments of Leszek Miller and Marek Belka, in the years 2003–2005, deputy prime minister, member of the Monetary Policy Council in the 2010–2016 term.
