The subject of the conference “Round table of competences: How to teach about a Green Deal” concerns the challenges faced by the Polish education sector in the context of the new taxonomy of the European Union (the so-called Green Deal). The Polish economy, industry and society in the next two decades will need a significant increase in the environmental awareness of our human capital. The key to achieving this effect is effective education and effective education. The participants of the round table will talk about how to implement it systematically.
The organizer of the event is the Innovation Center of the University of Agriculture in Krakow Ltd. The company deals with the commercialization of the results of scientific and research works created at the University of Agriculture in Krakow. The Innovation Center aims to support cooperation between science and business, and to promote innovative activities, in particular the identification, support and marketing of innovations and advanced technology products. The Innovation Center provides assistance and advice on establishing and running technology companies, mainly based on intellectual property generated at the university (spin-off companies).
The event is carried out on the initiative of the Platform of the Industry of the Future Foundation, which was established thanks to the activity of the Ministry of Development in 2019, one of the key activities of which is to build an appropriate environment around industry 4.0. To this end, the Foundation coordinates and standardizes Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH). Hubs are to operate on the basis of appropriate technological infrastructure (competence centers) and provide access to the latest knowledge and technology so as to support entrepreneurs in pilot activities, tests and experiments of a given technology. The goal is to increase productivity and change business models.
The Foundation also provides expert support in the field of digital transformation and increases the competences of Polish company staff, organizes training and promotes innovative solutions in the areas of, among others: intelligent data analysis, automation, communication between people and machines, process virtualization and cybersecurity.
