The subject of the application from the University of Agriculture in Kraków and Hugo Green Solutions Sp. z o.o. was:
Innovative HUGO eco-technology, based on two Hugo solutions – Growth Stimulator and Hugo – Agricultural Robot.
“HUGO – Growth Stimulator” is an innovative technology of post-emergence plant irradiation (in the field tests phase) and pre-sowing seed irradiation (IP reported and prepared irradiation algorithms), which is dedicated to plant seeds before sowing and plants in the juvenile stages, grown in field conditions .
“HUGO Robot Rolniczy” is version 1.0, a prototype of a multi-purpose mobile platform enabling the point application of agrotechnical treatments related to precise plant irradiation, spraying, foliar feeding of plants, with the possibility of expanding with new functional modules.
The solution is a response to the global challenges of mankind noted, among others, by the World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), which estimates that by 2050 the world’s population will increase to nearly 10 billion and in order to feed such a large population, the amount of food production in the world should be increased. Thanks to the innovative eco-technology HUGO consisting in a two-stage, integrated process of diagnosing the health condition and biostimulation of plants based on image analysis obtained from spectral sensors installed on the Hugo – Agricultural Robot platform, it will be possible to effectively capture the first symptoms of plant damage by pathogens and support the plant through biostimulation with the use of plant irradiation with the use of laser diodes implemented in the Hugo – Growth Stimulator technology.
The creators of the solution, and at the same time the team developing this technology, are:
dr hab. Eng. Agnieszka Klimek-Kopyra, prof. UR – agronomy expert, employee of UR Kraków, COO of Hugo Green Solutions sp. z o.o.
dr inż. Tomasz Czech, prof. UR – agronomy expert, employee of UR Kraków, CEO of Hugo Green Solutions sp. z o.o.
